Information, session records, and analyses provided by PSI Core are intended for the purposes agreed for the relevant activity. They should be assessed in the context of the task, the documented working conditions, and any available independent information.
Recorded session material, subsequent interpretation, and independently verified findings must remain distinguishable. Unverified information must not be presented as established fact.
Session records and analyses may not be published without prior permission from PSI Core, except where publication or disclosure is permitted or required by applicable law. Agreed confidentiality obligations and the rights of third parties must also be respected.
Information must not be used for unlawful purposes, harassment, coercion, or unjustified harm to another person’s safety, rights, or reputation.
The PSI Core Codex sets out the ethical principles governing practical work, training, analysis, and professional communication.
Confidentiality & Publication
Non-public correspondence, project materials, session records, and personal information are handled confidentially. Any disclosure must have an appropriate legal basis and respect the purpose of the work, applicable confidentiality obligations, and the rights of those concerned.
Confidentiality does not automatically end when a project or agreed activity is concluded.
Any later publication as a case study is considered separately and requires the necessary permissions and safeguards for personal information and third-party rights. Public accounts must accurately distinguish the work performed, the information independently established, and the conclusions the available material supports.
